It's time to get rid of those nagging emails that tell you that a user hasn't logged in for at least 30 days.

Those emails are especially nagging because sometimes

  • you have users that need an account but can't be bothered to log in every so often
  • ITSEC doesn't differentiate between users and customers (think WooCommerce) on your site and not every customer buys once every month
  • and there is no setting to disable those emails

Also there is no information on their site to be found how to disable them. A ticket to their support got me the following information.

Open up your wp-config.php file (it's located in your root folder, access it via FTP with FlashFXP or the free FileZilla client) and put that code above the line that says "that's all, happy blogging".

define('ITSEC_DISABLE_INACTIVE_USER_CHECK', true);

If you can't modify that file just right-click on the wp-config.php file and look for CHMOD. Hit that, make a note of what it says (e. g. 444) and change it temporarily to 755. Then put the code in there, save and upload the modified file and then change the CHMOD settings back to its former value.

You're done and the plugin should stop nagging you with those emails.
